To lead the end-to-end management and strategic development of the Trans-Pacific (TP) tradeline. This role is responsible for global carrier procurement and contract negotiations at the HQ level, pricing strategy, and process optimization. A key focus is on managing a central team and driving alignment across the global network to achieve volume and gross profit targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead global and regional contract negotiations with carrier HQs for the TP tradeline, securing strategic rates and capacity.

2. Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing central team.

3. Serve as the primary point of contact and coordination for the global sales and operations network, with a strong emphasis on key markets.

4. Conduct regular market research and analysis to inform pricing strategies and identify new market opportunities.

5. Drive the feasibility analysis of new service routes and lead the implementation of new line plans.

6. Establish and optimize standardized business processes to enhance efficiency, control risks, and ensure compliance.

7. Develop and execute the annual business plan and market development strategies for the TP tradeline to achieve budgeted goals.

8. Be fully accountable for the achievement of the tradeline's annual targets: Volume and Gross Profit (GP).

9. Act as the primary tradeline expert for the global sales team, providing deep market insights and support to secure targeted key accounts.

10. Promote and market the company's freight services for the TP tradeline in close collaboration with local sales organizations.

11. Organize and support product and trade knowledge training for relevant teams.

12. Oversee tradeline pricing policies and allocation management to ensure market-competitive selling rates and optimal profitability.

13. Regularly monitor and analyze tradeline performance, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Education

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Shipping, Logistics, Business, or a related field.

2. In-depth knowledge of the Trans-Pacific shipping market, including carrier landscape, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.

Skills

1. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Experience

1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in ocean logistics, with a proven track record in tradeline or route management, specifically on the Trans-Pacific route.

2. Demonstrated experience in global carrier negotiation and contract management at a senior level.

3. Substantial experience in managing a team and working in a complex, cross-functional, and global matrix environment.
