smart agricultural solutions worldwide. The company operates in over 20
countries and manages a modern production and logistics center in Tianjin,
China.
Operational Manager – Logistics & Manufacturing Center (Tianjin, China)
Reporting line:
- Reports to: Group CEO (Mr. Amihai Finkelstein)
- Functional supervisor: General Manager, Agrotem China
Direct reports: Logistics Manager, Production Manager, Maintenance Manager,
Quality & Safety Manager
To establish, manage, and continuously
optimize the production and logistics operations of Agrotem’s facility in
Tianjin, China. The role includes building a complete production system from
the ground up, managing teams, improving processes, and ensuring operational
excellence, safety, and efficiency that support the company’s global activity.
1. Operations Leadership
- Full responsibility for managing and optimizing all production and logistics
operations.
- Establish and lead the production system from scratch, including layout
design, process setup, and staffing.
- Manage the production and logistics workforce and ensure professional
standards and efficiency.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor productivity, quality, and delivery
performance.
- Implement measurable KPIs and lead continuous improvement processes.
2. Logistics Center Management
- Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control, material flow,
scanning, and WMS system.
- Supervise inbound/outbound processes, storage, picking, packing, and
shipping.
- Coordinate between production, logistics, and management to ensure on-time
material and product availability.
3. Production Management
- Lead the production team and daily manufacturing activities.
- Oversee product quality, equipment availability, order flow, cleanliness, and
safety.
- Manage preventive maintenance, facilities, and technical systems
(electricity, water, air, etc.).
4. Quality, Safety, and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage safety, fire protection, and environmental systems, including training
and reporting.
- Support inspections and audits with clients, suppliers, and authorities.
5. Budget and Planning
- Prepare and manage the operational budget and ensure financial targets are
met.
- Analyze performance data and provide recommendations for process
optimization.
- Promote cost-effective improvements and production efficiency initiatives.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, or equivalent
Experience: Min 10 years of proven experience as an Operations or Logistics
Manager in a manufacturing or logistics company
Languages: Native Chinese (Mandarin) – Required; Excellent English (spoken,
written, and reading) – Required
Skills: Strong technical understanding, ERP/WMS systems proficiency,
leadership, and problem-solving abilities
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership
abilities – Required
Driver’s License: Required
Advantage: Previous experience in an international/global company or in setting
up new production facilities
