Responsibilities include:

1.Act as group leader within cross-functional project teams to evaluate, prioritize and set strategy to positively influence project direction and timelines.

2.Drive quality and speed to meet department and company goals.

3.Lead and grow synthetic and medicinal chemistry.

4.Act as a high functioning drug discoverer and influential scientist within the company.

5.Act as a resource and mentor to team members.

6.Build, manage and motivate a team of internal and external CRO chemists.

7.Communicate project updates and make strategic recommendations to senior leaders.

Qualification Required:

1.PhD in Chemistry and more than 6 years industry experience in small molecule medicinal chemistry.

2.Experience leading and managing chemistry teams in a matrix organization.

3.Experience of hiring, managing and developing direct reports.

4.Experience leading programs at all stages of drug discovery from lead generation through to development candidate nomination.

5.Ability to manage assigned projects/initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

6.Ability to analyze complex multi-dimensional data, generate conclusions and recommend next steps.

7.Ability to effectively collaborate and drive towards scientific goals in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.

8.Able to help shape inter-disciplinary.
