Purpose of the Job

· Contract Review and Negotiation: Review, negotiate, and finalize the terms and conditions of domestic and international commercial contracts. These contracts typically range in value from $500,000 to over $50,000,000, covering a wide array of complex industrial goods and services.

· Compliance Management: Manage compliance with corporate policies to minimize legal and financial risks associated with sales contracts and related documents.

· Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to the global salesforce on corporate policies and critical contractual issues.

Background and Experience

· Education: A Juris Doctor (JD) or a foreign equivalent is required. Alternatively, a master’s degree with a focus on international business or legal studies is acceptable.

· Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial contracts is required. Experience in international business and industrial or engineering sectors is preferred. Experience with Chinese law preferred.

· Language: Fluent English, proficiency in Mandarin preferred

Specific Job Responsibilities and Competencies

· Contract Negotiation: Review, negotiate, and finalize contract terms and conditions for the global sale of company products and services. Engage directly with customer representatives, including legal counsel, to resolve any contractual issues.

· Risk Policy Compliance: Ensure all contract negotiations comply with the company's risk management policies.

· Policy Administration: Implement company policies and procedures to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all contractual documents.

· Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with sales teams and other departments as necessary to facilitate contract negotiation and adherence to company policies.

· Training and Support: Provide training and support to sales teams on the contract review process, company risk policies, and significant contract legal issues
