Business: CTO Infrastructure
Principal responsibilities
- · Lead, mentor and oversee a group of talented professionals to implement, maintain and support daily Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) services.
- · Develop and enforce best practices for system configurations, optimization, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- · Manage incident, problem and change management processes to ensure adherence to the compliances and service level agreements.
- · Provide timely support and escalation for critical issues, working closely with internal teams and third-party vendors.
- · Report to senior management, collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, design solutions and implement new technologies and enhancements.
- · Coordinate with engineering, storage, network, cybersecurity teams to optimise infrastructure performance and reliability.
- · Proactive identify areas for improvement and lead efforts to streamline processes or adopt new technologies.
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
- · Strong and proven experience in desktop visualization operations and service fulfilment, with solid administration experience in Citrix, VMWare platforms and Cloud environments.
- · Extensive hands-on background in enterprise-scale organisations as a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) subject matter expert, with deep knowledge of XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, ADC, Citrix Cloud, Microsoft Azure, VMWare and SAN architecture.
- · Strong leadership and team management skills, with a history of mentoring and developing team members.
- · Proficiency in the use of PowerShell scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins), plus familiarity with setting up monitoring solutions and dashboards.
- · Practical experience using Agile delivery methods and tools to lead a team through both tactical and strategic transformations.
- · Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Work independently and under high pressure. Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across all the globe.
- · Relevant certifications in Citrix, VMWare, Cloud, ITIL service management are highly desirable.
- · Fluency in English and native proficiency in Cantonese are required; Mandarin is a plus.
