As an IP Paralegal, you will be responsible for managing the company’s intellectual property processes and data with accuracy and efficiency. Collaborating closely with in-house patent attorneys and external IP firms, you will help optimise IP operations across regions, oversee financial matters related to IP costs, and provide timely guidance to stakeholders. Your role is essential in supporting the IP Legal team and ensuring the protection and effective administration of the company’s valuable innovation assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all IP-related processes and data accurately and in a timely manner through close collaboration with in-house patent attorneys and external IP firms.
- Facilitate and optimise global and country-level IP operations and platforms, ensuring robust data management.
- Provide timely education, guidance, and assistance to stakeholders regarding IP management tools and processes.
- Oversee all financial matters related to internal and external IP costs, preparing financial reports accurately and on schedule.
- Perform other administrative tasks to support the IP Legal team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably with a legal or engineering background.
- At least 3 years of experience in patent data and process management, either within IP firms or multinational corporations.
- Familiarity with patent prosecution in China and key foreign jurisdictions is required; experience in patent cost management is a plus.
- Proficiency in using IP management tools.
- Previous experience in the Robotics sector is preferred but not mandatory.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and cooperative, with strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin.
