Summary:
• Primary responsibility is design and development of Fiber Optic transceiver
modules. This includes hardware analog & digital circuit and PCB design, some
simulations and modeling, and characterization of optical and electrical
performance of transceivers. Take a technical leadership position in a team of
engineers from R&D, Product Engineering and NPI to coordinate all technical
aspects of the product design including mechanical, electrical, firmware and
optical.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Take a technical leadership position in a team of engineers from R&D, Product
Engineering and NPI to coordinate all technical aspects of the product design
including mechanical, electrical, firmware and optical.
• Responsible for architecture design/definition of optical transceivers, key ASICs
selection, electrical circuit dersign, and set rules/guide lines for layout.
• Hardware analog & digital circuit and PCB design, some simulations and modeling,
and characterization of optical and electrical performance of transceivers
• Improve & optimize module design to achieve high performance & yield, reduce
yield & cost of product. Work with NPI & ME team to release competitive products
into mass production
• Participate in co-development with teams in the US. Engage with customers for
spec discussions, problem solving, and sometimes field visit.
Qualification & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree is a minimum, Master or above is preferred, in Electrical
Engineering, Electro-optics, Physics or Communications.
• Design & debug ability as a Hardware engineer demonstrated from previous project
experience, analog & RF circuit design/debug experience is highly desired.
• Skilled in hardware & electrical design, experience with schematic & layout design
tools, familiar with measurement & debug equipment in communication industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are desired. RF
simulation skill/experience is a plus.
• Must be self-motivated, and a good team player. Hands-on design & debug
experience, Detail oriented on problem solving.
