Job Responsibilities:
• Evaluation of competitive applications through patent monitoring
• Preparation and submission of patent applications for new technologies and products tailored to the Chinese market in collaboration with local IP firms
• Assessing and identifying potential for proprietary rights to strategically safeguard innovative technologies, products, or processes.
• Conducting prior art research and freedom to operate analyses
• Technically-oriented consulting, competitive and environmental analysis, including third-party devices for potential infringements
• Conducting idea workshops to generate alternative and circumvention solutions to derive proprietary rights
• Collaborating with development and patent team in European
• Analysis and preparation of current patent and professional information for internal reporting
• Research in new technology fields
• Monitoring trends in new market developments

Job Profile:
• Completed studies in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or related fields
• Several years of experience in development and design
• Training or professional experience in the field of patents/IP specifically in China
• Proficient use of patent research tools and familiarity with relevant patent databases.
• Knowledge in the field of coffee machines or related technologies is a plus
• Independent, structured, strategic, and goal-oriented working style
• Knowledge of European patent regulations and practices is advantageous
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent English skills
