Oujiang Laboratory, one of the leading Zhejiang Provincial Laboratories, is currently seeking a highly organized and dedicated Executive Secretary to support the research group of Professor Ahmed Elsheikh, an internationally renowned expert in ocular biomechanics. 瓯江实验室为十大浙江省实验室之一，眼生物力学国际顶尖专家Ahmed Elsheikh教授于2024年加盟瓯江实验室，该课题组诚聘行政秘书一名。

Key Responsibilities

· Provide comprehensive administrative support to Elsheikh research group, including meeting organization, travel arrangement, and communication coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

· Prepare and manage research-related documentation, reports, and presentations.

· Maintain and organize records of the group’s clinical data, programming codes and other material.

· Maintain correspondence with academic and research collaborators, both nationally and internationally.

· Help manage lab resources, including project budgets and equipment.

· Oversee health and safety matters in the research group.

· Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

岗位职责

· 为课题组提供行政支撑，如会议筹备、差旅安排和内外部联络。

· 撰写相关文件、报告，制作PPT并归档。

· 整理临床数据、程序代码和其他材料。

· 拓展维护国内外学术及科研合作方。

· 整合实验室资源，管理科研经费预算及实验室设备。

· 管理监督实验室安全。

· 具有良好的工作意识和保密意识。

Requirements

· Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).

· Bachelor degree or Master degree.

· Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

· Previous administrative or secretarial experience in a research or academic setting is preferred.

· Strong organizational, multitasking, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

About Professor Ahmed Elsheikh

Professor Ahmed Elsheikh is a world-leading expert in ocular biomechanics, a Principal Investigator at OuJiang Laboraty, and a Chair Professor at the School of Engineering at the University of Liverpool, UK. He is a former Dean of the school and a Chartered Engineer, as well as a Senior Fellow of the Academy of Higher Education. His research focuses on ocular biomaterial characterization, numerical simulation of ocular biomechanical properties, and the development of advanced medical equipment for eye health management.

Professor Elsheikh has received a special grant from the National Health Research and Biomedical Research Center (NIHR-BRC) at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to ocular biomechanics. He is a prominent figure in international scientific collaboration, with research partnerships across Europe, America, and Asia, and has secured nearly £11 million in project funding. With 8 books, 220+ journal papers, and 150+ conference papers, his work has been cited over 8600 times.

Ahmed Elsheikh 简介

Ahmed Elsheikh为国际知名的眼生物力学专家，曾任英国利物浦大学工程学院院长，现任讲席教授一职，致力于眼生物材料表征、眼生物力学性能数值模拟，以及眼健康管理相关医疗设备开发方面的研究。作为在眼生物力学研究领域有着卓越的贡献的特许工程师和高等教育学院院士，2012年起Elsheikh教授获得了由英国最大的眼科医院——英国伦敦Moorfields眼科医院的国立卫生研究和生物医学研究中心（NIHRBRC)颁发的特殊津贴。Elsheikh教授担任《Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices》期刊的联合主编以及《Current Eye Research》杂志的编辑，其团队在欧洲、美洲及亚洲地区拥有广泛的合作网络。Elsheikh教授获课题经费资助约1,100万英镑，著作8本，高水平期刊论文超220篇，会议论文150篇，指数47，引用次数达8600。

Research direction

· The development of rigid or soft orthokeratology lenses to reduce refractive error and delay the progression of myopia;

· The development of non-contact tonometer to provide more accurate intraocular pressure measurement data for the follow-up of glaucoma patients;

· Measurement of corneal biomechanical properties in vivo to assist in the optimization of various clinical ophthalmic surgeries。

研究方向

· 硬性或软性角膜塑形镜的研发，用于降低屈光不正度数和延缓近视进展；

· 非接触式眼压计的研发，为青光眼患者的随访提供更加精准的眼内压测量数据；

· 在体角膜生物力学性能测量，协助眼科临床各种手术的优化。
