Primary objective

 Co-ordination of specified tasks within the instrument engineering discipline.Responsible for the progress and quality of assigned tasks within the instrument area,including the supervision of engineers.

 To ensure all work carried out conforms with agreed codes and practices ,meets all requirements of the contracts specification and ensure all work is carried out within agreed schedules ,budgets and procedures.

 To provide innovative and cost effective solutions to clients for operating problems and capacity constraints in their existing oil and gas and petrochemical operations.

 To liaise with client process team .

Specific Accountabilities

 Overall supervision of instrument engineers.

 Technical competence of instrument engineering personnel.

 Forecast requirement for instrument engineering resources and allocate those resources.

 Instrument design integrity of workscope and maintenance of standards.

 Inter discipline communication development.

 Instrument group communication development.

 Prepare instrument manhour estimate to perform project tasks.

 Manage instrument design and any design changes within budget and schedule.

 Evaluate new technology advancements against existing design standards and revise where applicable.

 Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives.

 Identify and review new technology development which could be applicable in providing more cost effective facilities.

 Attend meetings with clients and be responsible for maintaining the meeting minutes.

 Prepare weekly instrument progress and expenditure reports on a project specific basis.

 Quality Assurance –Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.

 Safety –Responsible for personal safety safe working practices.Understand and follow HSE procedures.

Matching Indicators

 Bachelor's degree or above in Instrument engineering

 Minimum 8 years direct Instrument engineering experience in offshore Oil and Gas industry.

 Ability to manage projects.

 Fluent in English.
