Job description:  
 
Lead financial strategy for our next-generation Managed Services portfolio, partnering with R&D and Product teams to incubate, fund, and scale integrated service offerings. Ensure R&D investments align with market demand while optimizing SaaS economics, unit costs, and lifecycle profitability.  
  
1. Innovation Finance & R&D Governance  
  
a. Own financial modeling for R&D portfolios, evaluating ROI for new managed services.  
  
b. Drive stage-gate funding decisions: Build business cases with clear metrics (NPV, IRR, payback) for offerings blending SaaS, managed services, and hardware.  
  
c. Partner with CTO/CPO on resource allocation, Agile funding models, and R&D capitalization.  
  
2. SaaS-Integrated Offering Development  
  
a. Design pricing & packaging strategies for hybrid solutions  
  
b. Model unit economics: CAC, LTV, churn, expansion revenue, and cost-to-serve for subscription-based services.  
  
c. Analyze build-vs.-buy decisions for MS, DaaS and SaaS components  
  
3. Commercialization & GTM Enablement  
  
a. Develop financial playbooks for new offering launches, including pilot incentives, scaling thresholds, and path to profitability.  
  
b. Partner with Sales on deal structuring for complex, outcome-based contracts  
  
c. Ensure seamless handoff to Delivery/Operations finance post-launch with accurate cost allocation frameworks.  
  
4. Performance Management  
  
a. Track KPIs  
  
b. Lead monthly innovation reviews: Report on R&D burn rate, launch traction, and P&L health of new services.  
  
c. Monitor DaaS and SaaS metrics and managed services efficiency.  
  
Position requirements:  
  
1. Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, CPA and ACC preferred.  
  
2. 8+ years in FP&A/Finance, including:  
  
3. 3+ years supporting R&D/Product innovation (tech/services).  
  
4. 3+ years in SaaS/Subscription/Leasing/business models.  
  
5. Experience in Managed/Cloud Services (IT, cybersecurity, IoT).  
  
6. Mastery of SaaS metrics.  
  
7. Advanced Excel; SAP, BI (Tableau), product analytics  
  
8. Ideal Candidates Bring:  
  
a. Experience in managed/cloud services (e.g., launching DaaS/PaaS, SaaS, or industry-specific solutions).  
  
b. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum funding models and stage-gate processes.  
  
c. Familiarity with IP monetization, joint development agreements, or co-innovation partnerships.
