1 Central interface for Program Management in case of production relevant acquisition tasks to ensure direct
response and competitive cost estimation as base for customer quotation
2 Steering, monitoring and analyzing the manufacturing cost development vs. targets (e.g. P2R) during the
whole product life cycle. Initiating and tracking countermeasures in case of deviations
3 OPM is escalation level at location in case of critical cost topics
4 Steering and executing idea management to improve the cost situation until the implementation.
Identify the biggest cost improvement levers to focus on efficient counter measures
5 Drive and exchange of best practices and ideas to improve cost structure within global production network
6 Leading of project teams for any kind of cost improvements
B Development of Methods and Tools
1 Assessment of competitiveness of production location
2 Performing gap analysis in Operations tool landscape
3 Conceptualization of approach including visualization and detailed description
4 Implementation of new approach and global roll-out
5 Development and improvement of OPM tool landscape
C Strategy planning
1 Coordination of yearly strategy process in alignment with Plant Manager and steering and executing of
identified strategic measures
2 Analyzing product portfolio and develop product roadmap
3 Monitor long-term turnover development and escalate in case of deviation
4 Verify business change requests regarding priority change, support and drive location decision
5 Safeguard sustainable and proactive resource management.
6 Support local Controlling for Fiscal Year planning in terms of future business
