1. Prepare task plans: prepare detailed task plan including necessary analyses to be performed, sample preparation methods, material property requirements and corresponding standards; apply test standard/drawing from Sweden when necessary.

2. Prepare sample extraction/preparation methods: with the knowledge and experience in material analyses, prepare sample preparation method according to Scania requirements and confirm with lab technicians;

3. Distribute incoming tasks: based on task types and engineers’ workload, distribute the task to lab technicians and engineers;

4. Equipment maintenance and calibration: make maintenance and calibration plans for all equipment in materials lab;

5. Consumable management: register all consumables in materials lab, and order in advance based on lab usage.

6. LIMS systems operation: use current LIMS system for request management; report system bugs to the support team; provide improvement methods for the system;

7. Keep test data correctly documented.

8. Fluent in reading and writing English;

9. Other assigned work by Manager.
