BioMar Group, a global leader in sustainable aquaculture feed, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Formulator to join our Quality & Formulation Department in Wuxi. This critical role is responsible for accurate and efficient maintenance, and optimization of feed formulations. You will ensure that all formulations meet precise nutritional specifications, cost targets, and regulatory requirements.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities：
 Formulation Management: Calculate and maintain accurate and cost-effective feed formulations using formulation software. Identify opportunities to improve product margins without compromising quality or performance
 Quality & Specification Adherence: Ensure all formulations strictly comply with defined nutritional profiles, ingredient specifications, quality standards, and internal SOPs
 New Formulation Co-development: under the guidance of the product technical team, you will create new products that meet market expectations while matching cost, industrial and sustainability targets
 Raw Material Database: Maintain and update the raw material nutrient and cost database to ensure formulation accuracy and integrity
 Cost & Price Strategy: Model and manage product cost structures in response to expected ingredient market scenarios (e.g., commodity price volatility, supply chain shifts)
 Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and maintain all necessary formulation documentation, ensuring full traceability and compliance with company and local regulatory standards
 Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise effectively with Product Technical, Purchasing, Plant and Quality teams
 Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve formulation processes, data accuracy, and workflow efficiency
 Inspect raw material suppliers and visit customers
Reporting Line：
 This position reports to the Director of Quality & Formulation Department of our Wuxi JV. You will also have dotted line reporting to BIOMAR Global formulation team.
Qualifications & Experience
 Master’s degree and above in Aquatic Animal Nutrition, Animal Nutrition, Aquatic Sciences, Aquaculture, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field
 3+ years of hands-on experience in feed formulation, aquaculture experience preferred
 Mandatory proficiency in feed formulation software (e.g., Allix, Format, Brill, Adifo)
 Strong understanding of raw material nutritional values, anti-nutritional factors, and their application in feed
Skills and Knowledge：
 Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
 Good communication skills in both Mandarin and English (written and spoken), able to have professional communication with the global team in English
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office
 Clear logic and strong computing ability
 A team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment
 Familiarity with basic problem-solving tools preferred
 Familiarity with global aquaculture-related standards such as ISO 9001, BAP, ASC, and Global G.A.P.
