Key Responsibilities

1. Shop Drawings & Materials Inspection 1. 施工图与材料检查

• Plan Reviews for Technical Accuracy: Critically examine current product assembly drawings, fire-rated wall details, sheathing specifications, and fastener schedules prior to installation to ensure compliance with relevant US/Canadian building codes and manufacturer specifications.

• Suggest improvements or efficiencies where necessary, focusing on reducing seams/cracks, minimizing finish defects, and optimizing material waste.

• Techniques & Equipment: Evaluate existing tools, lifting equipment, measurement devices, and worker techniques in use for cutting, fitting, fastening, and finishing (e.g., mud application, sanding).

• Quality Control (QC) Program: Review and enhance the current QC Inspection and Testing Plans, project quality criteria, and quality control documentation processes for boarding and finishing.

• This must include fastener embedment checks, joint taping coverage, finish level verification, and dimensional tolerance checks.

• Defect Root Cause Analysis: Identify and troubleshoot common boarding defects such as cracking, nail pops, sagging, or finish inconsistencies, and develop preventative measures or appropriate repair/rework procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial or multi-family residential drywall, sheathing, or interior finishing, with a focus on high-volume production or new construction.

• Technical Expertise:
  
  • Deep knowledge of governing US/Canadian building codes and standards related to drywall (gypsum board) installation, fire-rated assemblies, and interior finish tolerances.

  • Professional certification or proven expertise in construction quality inspection or finishing trades is highly sought after.
