IP protection

-Selection of the most appropriate type of protection (Patent, Design, Copyright, …) and best way to proceed

-Definition of the creation/inventions, preparation of the filings (drafting or subcontracting), filings, prosecutions

-Participation to the decisions regarding foreign filings,

-Definition of product coverage strategy with R&D/Projects

-Patent portfolio management

Preventing or defending from third parties actions

-Project studies in view of identified competitor patents

-Action for reorienting any project in case of infringement risk

-Patent clearances and IP Rights validity studies based on one or cluster of families and including risk assessment

-Contributions to Oppositions / Nullity suits against patents granted to third parties

-Study and follow-up of infringement claims and litigations

-Infringement actions against third parties (on the basis of Valeo patents)

-Infringement detection and validity check of the files

-Offensive pre-litigation or litigation actions, in liaison with IP, BG Managements and other involved functions and according to Group rules

Support to other functions

-Reviewing of IP clauses in agreements, Proposition of modifications in agreements

-IP training for R&D/R&I teams
