We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Direct Health Sales Operations Manager to lead the strategy for our Health Insurance direct digital sales channels. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for building then optimizing the end-to-end sales journey, from lead generation to policy issuance.You will act as the bridge between the sales, underwriting, IT, and marketing teams, ensuring that our digital platforms and direct sales processes are seamless, scalable, and customer-centric. The ideal candidate is a data-savvy operator with a passion for leveraging technology to drive health insurance sales in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Understanding:
- Develop a deep understanding of the target market's needs, preferences, and behaviors
- Inform sales strategies and product development.
2. Operational Strategy & Management
- Oversee Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of all direct sales channels (web, mobile app, telesales, and digital affiliates).
- Process Optimization: Continuously analyze and refine the sales funnel (lead capture, quote generation, application, and underwriting handover) to maximize conversion rates and minimize drop-off.
- KPI Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales operations team, including cost per acquisition (CPA), conversion rates, and policy issuance turnaround time.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure sales tools, rate calculators, and product information are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with the evolving needs of our target market. This includes contributing to the development and upgrading of our IPMI products
- IT & Digital Collaboration: Work closely with the IT department to implement new digital features, enhance the user experience (UX), and ensure the stability of the sales platform.
- Underwriting Liaison: Streamline the interface between the sales front-end and the underwriting back-end to ensure a frictionless onboarding experience for new members.
4. Performance & Analytics
- Data Analysis: Generate regular reports on sales operations performance, providing actionable insights to the General Manager and senior leadership.
- Budget Control: Manage the operational budget for the direct sales channel, ensuring cost-efficiency and ROI on digital spend.
- Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasting based on operational capacity and market trends.

- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all direct sales operations strictly comply with local insurance regulations and data privacy laws (e.g., PIPL in China).
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures for telesales interactions and digital disclosures to maintain high ethical standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Education & Experience:
- Major in Business Administration, Finance, E-commerce operations, Healthcare Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in insurance, with a specific focus on direct health and retail insurance sales, digital sales, or sales operations, preferably in the high-end medical insurance sector. Proven experience in understanding and targeting high net worth, mass affluent, and expatriate markets is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of managing high-volume sales operations within a multinational insurance environment.
- Experience with core insurance systems and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Guidewire).
2. Skills:
- Digital Fluency: Strong understanding of digital marketing metrics (SEO, SEM, CRO) and the technical aspects of e-commerce platforms.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to drive decision-making.
- Leadership: Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of operations specialists.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
