Objective of job
• Lead “Autonomous Driving Toolchain & Platform” section. Be responsible for IT solutions delivery on Automated Driving System area, enabling ADAS/AD development and testing etc., good understanding of MB company strategies and be able to breakdown the strategy from department level to employees, promote lean-agile mindsets on team level, always keep IT RD security and company compliance in mind.
• Delivery: Focus on our business partner’s requirements based on Product Orientation, design and deliver cloud-based, micro-service-oriented, partner agnostic, data driven development and testing solutions together with RD partner. Observe the Chinese and global markets and competitors, identify development potentials and ensure competitiveness of MB systems.
• Communication & Cooperation: Good cooperation with local and global IT, RD stakeholders. Acting as a bridge between central of competence from Germany and local RD business partners, bring transparency to both sides and improve engagement from the beginning phase. Establish reliable and aligned cooperation model with core customers and gear up the communication process. Acting as a key window facing client, focusing on providing analyses, recommendations, presentation, demonstration, and advice to customers.
• Team Management: Assist supervisor to drive team transformation, build up internal development competence, ramp up ADAS, interior sensing and vital sensing knowledges, incubate in depth system development competency.
• People Management: As section lead, offer professional and constructive feedback for team members development, provide guidance and coaching to ensure the team members best delivery, report to supervisor on team member’s performance, progression, training needs and disciplinary issues, assist supervisor on section team employee survey follow-ups and team building topics, create and maintain an environment with trust, respect, and a sense of belonging among team members.
Job designation
• Autonomous Driving Enablement solutions delivery
-Previous ADAS dev-test platform maintenance.
-New dev-test platform development support and knowledge ramp up.
-New dev-test platform project management and delivery together with MB RD China.
-Support, drive and enhance local development competence to delivery best AD services with MB RD China business partner.
• Section team management
-Bring transparency to the team, and breakdown company strategy and management request to employees, and define team mission, initiatives, and tasks accordingly.
-Together with team members achieve department OKR.
-Setup and maintain team regular communication and shop floor meeting.
-Support team member individual development plan.
-Engage and guide team members for decision making.
-Monitor team performance and make sure the quality of team delivery.
-Facilitate resource planning and budget control.
• Be involved in CoC HQ strategy and regular communication from management level.
-Support from China local side as global RD and IT strategy required.
-Understand and breakdown the strategy from HQ and realize the needed actions in China.
-Bring RD China’s consideration back to the HQ for being involved in every beginning phase.
-Close communicate with CoC partners for shared RD IT solution for Germany and China.
-Based on IT RD strategy bring the impact to Germany from China.
-Be aware of central RD methodologies, concepts, and toolchains, introduce central application to meet local needs and bridge local business units with HQ for customization.
• Cross business cooperation within MBGC IT departments
-Coordinate and cooperate with other related IT departments.
-Drive co-creative innovation to create value for our company in IT area.
-Share IT knowledge and business process for IT solution integration.
-Be responsible for leading IT RD owned topics and cooperate with other departments.
-Keep learning and continuously updating knowledge on IT technology, RD business process.
• Ensure IT RD security and governance based on China CCSL and company requirements. Follow standard company compliance requirements.
-Follow, support and ensure all demands meet the IT security guidelines
-Ensuring processes are compliance and provide Audit support.
Qualification
•Education:
-Bachelor degree or above at Computer Science, Intelligent Science, EE, Information Engineering related majors.
•Experience:
-5+ years auto-driving backend platform experience with focus on data-driven development in the field of AD/ADAS for series passenger car projects. Familiar with the application of large models (such as BEV perception, DriveGPT) in autonomous driving; Experience in transplanting algorithms for automotive-grade chips (Orin/Xavier, TI TDA4); Participated in the construction of an autonomous driving data closed-loop system and is familiar with the entire process of data mining-labeling-training-deployment.
-5+ years coding experience on AD/ADAS areas, familiar with C, C++, Java, Java script, Python etc.
-Deep understanding about global & local competitor’s AD/ADAS solutions and toolchain, system & function release process and relevant China local & international suppliers.
-Familiar with the application of large models (such as BEV perception, DriveGPT) in autonomous driving, experience in transplanting algorithms for automotive-grade chips (Orin/Xavier, TI TDA4), participated in the construction of an autonomous driving data closed-loop system and is familiar with the entire process of data mining-labeling-training-deployment.
-Experience on cloud computing, cloud-based platform architectures, CI/CD and DevOps.
-Deep understanding and experience on Machine Learning, Data, Artificial Intelligence, AI/Gen AI model.
-Familiar with AD/ADAS related security and data compliance.
-Solid SW engineering experience, proficient in software engineering principles, software development lifecycle, project management, supplier management.
-Good knowledge of Agile, SAFe, ASPICE.
-Strong self-motivation, team motivation ability.

-Excellent cross-functional communication, coordination, and conflict management skills.
-Fluent in English and Chinese, German is bonus point.
