As the Chinese market continues to be a major driver of innovation and growth in the passenger vehicle sector, we are seeking a results-driven and proactive Software Project Manager to lead the delivery of cutting-edge infotainment solutions designed for Chinese consumers. Based in Beijing’s Wangjing area—a dynamic technology hub—our entertainment team is responsible for end-to-end project execution, covering both China-specific digital products and contributions to Mercedes-Benz’s global infotainment platforms.
As a Software Project Manager within this team, you will be end-to-end accountable for project planning, execution, and delivery—including scope definition, scheduling, budget control, risk management, and supplier coordination.
You will oversee requirement alignment, resource allocation, project quality, timeline adherence, and regular reporting to stakeholders.
Acting as the central point of communication, you will collaborate with internal and external development partners across China, as well as with Mercedes-Benz R&D centers worldwide, ensuring seamless integration and timely delivery of software projects on a global scale.
• Proven experience as a Software Project Manager, with a strong track record in delivering infotainment or entertainment systems within the automotive or consumer electronics industry.
• Solid background in end-to-end project management, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and supplier coordination.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams (product, development, testing) and delivering high-quality software projects on time and within budget.
• Strong ability to manage external vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, with hands-on experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, or MS Project.
• Data-driven approach to monitoring project progress, controlling quality, and reporting status to senior management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify blockers early and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global teams and international development partners.
• Fluency in English.
