Main Responsibilities
·Support the development of global category strategy, and takt responsibility for developing and implementing the local category strategy
·Develop and monitor supplier performance in cooperation with other functions and lead a cross functional team of buyer, design, quality, production engineers
·Manage new supplier projects, ensure agreed targets are met and secure supply.
·Oversee total cost of ownership, ensuring category strategy implementation and managing supplier negotiations
·Develop and maintain strategic partners to cooperate with PU engineering, quality and manufacturing for value add
·Develop and maintain sourcing projects, ensure targets are met and secure supply
·Set target costs and select or involve suppliers as the sourcing representative in R&D projects.
·Monitor supplier market and trends globally and locally
·Conduct supplier negotiations and selection process in collaboration with SQ and supply with cost awareness
·Oversee contract management
·Manage supplier capacity and quality during supplier selection, emphasizing sustainable practices.
·Ensure adherence to Sandvik Purchasing Policy, Code of Conduct and EHS and sustainability targets.
·About 30% plus travel is required
·Other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements
·Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
·Min. 5 years' experience in strategic purchasing or sourcing, with a background in the mechanical engineering industry—specifically in production, purchasing, or R&D
·Experience working with welded and/or electric components in the heavy industry (e.g., construction machinery, mining machinery industry or similar), with solid sourcing experiences on steel fabrication and/or electric category
·Strong knowledge of strategic purchasing and supplier relationship management, with a good understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D processes
·Understanding of finance fundamentals and agreement law
·Experience in risk analysis and supplier audits
·Both technical and commercial orientation
·Analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as project management skills
·Strong collaboration skills for building effective internal and external relationships
·Service-oriented attitude, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
·Fluency in spoken and written English.
