General Manager (GM) Shanghai
Job Summary:
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for leading 67 Pall Mall Shanghai, ensuring seamless daily operations, exceptional member experience, and strong financial performance. This role requires strategic leadership, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of fine wine and luxury hospitality.
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Key Areas of Responsibility
Pre-Opening Responsibilities
Serve as the local lead for the Shanghai opening, working closely with the Chief Development Officer and key stakeholders to bring the club from concept to operational reality.
Act as a bridge between global leadership and local execution, supporting investor relations, market positioning, and internal communications.
Build early momentum by engaging prospective members, cultivating relationships with wine lovers, influencers, and luxury communities in Shanghai.
Liaise with local authorities to ensure all necessary licenses, permits, and regulatory requirements are met in a timely and compliant manner.
Partner with the Development team to oversee site planning, recruitment, vendor onboarding, and systems integration, ensuring the club is operationally sound at launch.
Contribute to early-stage marketing and events, helping establish 67 Pall Mall’s presence and reputation ahead of opening.
Operational Excellence & Member Experience
Ensure seamless daily operations, delivering world-class wine, dining, and event experiences.
Lead and refine service standards, ensuring every touchpoint reflects 67 Pall Mall’s prestige.
Maintain and enhance the club’s exceptional wine program, working with sommeliers, chefs, and global wine producers.
Develop innovative member engagement strategies, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, exclusivity, and retention.
Oversee guest services, private dining, and event execution, ensuring flawless execution and elevated experiences.
Commercial & Financial Leadership
Own the P&L, driving revenue through membership retention, events, F&B sales, and private bookings.
Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to enhance revenue and brand positioning.
Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to attract and retain high-caliber members.
Ensure operational efficiency through cost control, budgeting, and resource optimization.
Maintain full compliance with local regulations, licensing, and financial policies while upholding global brand standards.
People Leadership & Culture
Build, develop, and mentor a high-performance team, fostering a culture of service excellence and collaboration.
Implement best-in-class HR, training, and talent development programs to enhance team capabilities.

Brand & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the ambassador for 67 Pall Mall Shanghai, strengthening relationships with members, investors, and industry leaders.
Represent the club in exclusive events, trade shows, and media engagements to enhance visibility.
Collaborate with global leadership teams to ensure Shanghai aligns with the broader company vision and best practices.
Continuously evolve the club’s membership experience and offerings, staying ahead of luxury lifestyle trends.
Key Qualifications
Proven senior leadership experience in luxury hospitality, private clubs, or fine dining.
Strong knowledge of Shanghai’s fine wine, F&B, and luxury lifestyle markets.
P&L ownership experience with a proven track record in driving revenue and profitability.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performing hospitality team.
Experience in membership-based or high-end experiential hospitality is highly preferred.
Fluent in English and Mandarin
