Research analyst – Coke Market
Location: Xi’an, China
We are an industry-leading market intelligence company and are seeking a talented analyst to join our growing team and support our analytical and product-building capabilities.
Based in Xi’an and reporting to our China Research Manager, you’ll be working directly with our senior leadership and our global team, spread across six continents, and serving a range of clients including governments, financial institutions, tech firms, and automotive OEMs.
The Research Analyst will support Project Blue subscriptions, consulting, and events with a focus on coke markets and coke’s use in the wider sector. The role involves monitoring market trends, updating our Proxima tool, and supporting report writing, data work, and client calls.
Responsibilities:  
• Develop specialist expertise in the analysis of anode active material to support Project Blue’s research. 
• Remain current with industry developments relevant to raw materials（different coke types and grades), production routes, material technology, facility build-out, market drivers and end-use markets.
• Help maintain our research database with guidance from the senior team. 
• Create content and write up research with close supervision from your line manager and product managers. 
• Build relationships with industry contacts and treat these with the appropriate confidentiality and Project Blue values. 
• Contribute in a supporting role to research projects and consulting work across the company. 
• Help nurture and grow a supportive team for new and existing Project Blue staff. 
• Support Project Blue client engagement together with a senior team member (virtual and in person). 
Job requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in geology, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, and pivot tables.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

•为公司的研究项目和咨询工作提供支持。
帮助培养和发展一个支持新老“蓝色计划”员工的团队。
与一名高级团队成员(虚拟和面对面)一起支持Project Blue客户参与。
工作要求:
地质学、金融学、经济学或相关专业本科以上学历。
优秀的中英文书面和口头沟通能力。
