Research analyst – Anode material analyst
Location: Xi’an, China
We are an industry-leading market intelligence company and are seeking a talented analyst to join our growing team and support our analytical and product-building capabilities.
Based in Xi’an and reporting to our China Research Manager, you’ll be working directly with our senior leadership and our global team, spread across six continents, and serving a range of clients including governments, financial institutions, tech firms, and automotive OEMs.
The Research Analyst will support Project Blue subscriptions, consulting, and events with a focus on anode markets. The role involves monitoring market trends, updating our Proxima tool, and supporting report writing, data work, and client calls.
Responsibilities:
• Develop specialist expertise in the analysis of anode material to support Project Blue’s research.
• Remain current with industry developments relevant to raw materials, batteries and EVs.
• Help maintain our research database with guidance from the senior team.
• Create content and write up research with close supervision from your line manager and product managers.
• Build relationships with industry contacts and treat these with the appropriate confidentiality and Project Blue values.
• Contribute in a supporting role to research projects and consulting work across the company.
• Help nurture and grow a supportive team for new and existing Project Blue staff.
• Support Project Blue client engagement together with a senior team member (virtual and in person).
• Add, update and maintain Chinese anode active material assets within Project Blue's internal Excel database, considering chemistry, geography, capacity, integration level, ownership structure and project timelines.
• Carry out research on the anode active material market in China, identifying key existing and emerging trends across the sector.
• Carry out in-depth research on the silicon market within China, identifying product types, production methods and trends mapping the producer landscape.
• Contribute to Project Blue's quarterly Anode research service in the form of regular PowerPoint slides on findings over the past quarter.
• Regularly contribute to Blue Views on new and noteworthy anode market updates.
• Be a regular point of contact for internal and external discussions regarding the anode market.
Job requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in geology, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, and pivot tables.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

工作要求:
