The Manager - VSS shall have been in an engineering environment for a period of 10 years (after graduation or schooling) with at least 3 of those years related to inspection and quality assurance in a management or senior operations capacity. The Manager - VSS shall have received relevant training in the appreciation of inspection techniques and the management of quality systems, with the appropriate qualifications/certificates.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

1. The CM/Director of the country shall appoint a Manager - VSS to be based at the local Office, to oversee the day-to-day running of the Vendor Inspection Department, maintain the appropriate level of field and office-based operatives and report direct to the Country Manager.

3. The Manager - VSS is also responsible for the use of correct procedures in respect to Health, Safety and Environmental considerations.

The Manager - VSS is responsible for the recruitment, discipline and general conduct of Inspectors, Coordinators and Project Managers. This includes Health and Safety considerations. When it is deemed necessary to question the conduct of Inspectors, he/she shall establish the facts of the situation by close liaison with the appropriate Coordinator and shall issue whatever communications are necessary
