Retail Field Services Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support personnel, troubleshooting and fixing issues as they happen in the stores. They will perform break-fix, replacement of hardware as needed, quarterly health checks and projects
Scope of Services
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, analysis, diagnosis of all store IT equipment for End-Users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions.
- Install, configure, and test IT Store equipment including but not limited to POS, Mobile POS, RFID, Zebra printers.
- De-install and package legacy store equipment as necessary.
- Collaborate with Client personnel to enable efficient operation of Client’s desktop computing environment.
- Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation or IT retail equipment.
- Verify IT retail device connectivity.
- If necessary, liaise with third-party support and IT equipment vendors. Caddies to assist with OEM co-ordination. Cognizant to manage dispatch OEM co-ordination.
- Applicable for all stores in EMEA, GC & APLA geographies
- Candidate must be fluent in the local language and English and have the appropriate skills
- Technicians are based within the city of the store location and may be dispatched to nearby stores if feasible (HUB & SPOKE Model).
- Provide “smart hands” technical resources to support onsite hands-on support as directed by Tower SME's including infrastructure, Software/Applications, AVDE, and other retail L2/L3 remote teams.
- Perform installations, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC) on retail store hardware, which include installs, removals, relocation, upgrade, modify, or otherwise reconfigure retail store equipment and software as requested.
- Support all IT related equipment in the store via installation, repair/swap or Smart Hands, including but not limited to:
o register base.
o register display.
o register printer.
o register keyboard.
o debit pin pad.
o barcode hand scanner.
o integrated payment terminal.
o bed scanner.
o presentation scanner.
o POS controller.
o software reloads when cannot be performed remotely.
o coin dispenser.
o price verifiers.
o iOS devices and peripherals; fiscal print devices.
EUC Requirements
o Strong experience as Desktop support engineer
o Strong experience in supporting executive level users
o Network trouble shooting skills
o VIP Support skill
o MAC & Windows support
o Good knowledge of ticketing tools such as SNOW
o SCCM
o Acquaintance with Intune
