Job duties:
-Fully responsible for the overall planning and guidance of students' applications
-To monitor and document pupil progress and keep pupils informed of higher education and career matters using the school internal systems and progresses
-To support pupil’s application to various programs,including brainstorming and editing pupil writing, providing counselor recommendations, checking application forms, etc.
-To generally liaise with tutors, head of department, and subject teachers with regards to pupil interests, academic progress, application needs, etc.
-To assist in informing the school’s parent body about higher education matters by being available for individual meetings with families and contributing to a variety of presentations and events
-At least 16 periods per week for teaching history
Qualification:
-A minimum of an undergraduate degree
-Both a teaching qualification and an appropriate university counselling qualification
-Best to have teaching experience in the DSE curriculum.
-3+years of experience working in a university guidance capacity
-Knowledge of DSE curricula and the context of university admission from a high-performing international school
-Fluent in English
