Position: Primary Years Programme Learning Assistant

Description and Responsibilities:

- mainly responsible for directly and individually assisting the learning of an assigned student.主要负责直接和单独协助指定学生的学习。
- will follow the student’s Individual Learning Plan (ILP), and focus supports towards the student’s goals as determined by the Student Support Team. 遵循学生的个人学习计划(ILP),并重点支持学生支助小组确定的学生学习目标
- will also follow the lead of the student’s homeroom teacher with daily classroom and routine expectations. 三、Teaching Responsibilities教学责任

• Supports learning activities to reach the individual student’s ILP goals by following specified interventions.支持学习活动,通过指定的干预措施,达到学生个人的ILP 目标。

• Supports student with assigned tasks and class work, reinforcing concepts presented by the teacher, as determined through interventions outlined on the individual learning plan.协助学生完成指定的任务和课堂活动,以强化老师讲解的概念。

• Assists Homeroom Teacher in using Seesaw to document student development and progress.辅助老师通过 seesaw 记录学生的发展和进展情况

• Helps teachers scan and upload classwork, student work samples, data, and assessments in OneDrive as needed.如有需要,帮助教师在OneDrive 中扫描和上传课堂作业、学生作业样本、数据和评估。

• Demonstrates a sense of responsibility. Intuitively supports either the homeroom teacher or the individual student’s needs.有主动为老师或学生提供帮助的责任感。

• Assists student in meeting their assigned goals within community settings.在社区环境中协助学生们达到他们的预定目标。

• Records required information on student activities as directed by the homeroom teacher.依照老师指示, 记录学生活动信息。

• Lead required extra-curricular activities and join committees for school events or clubs.领导必要的课外活动,加入学校活动或俱乐部的委员会。

四、Communication有效沟通

• Communicates directly with the homeroom teacher(s) to whom they are assigned.直接向所分配的班主任老师(们)报告。

• May act as a translator when communicating with students and/or parents.在与学生或家长沟通时,充当翻译。

• Communication regarding the student’s performance is the responsibility of the homeroom teacher. The LA is not to report to parents how a child is performing at school, unless directed to by the homeroom teacher through a specific means (such as a data collection tool).Communication with the student’s parents must always be professional in manner and through school issued technology/email. All communication with the student’s parents should include the homeroom teacher. The LA may communicate a child’s performance to the parent when translating or acting as a messenger between the homeroom teacher, staff and the parent.沟通学生的表现是班主任的责任。除非班主任通过特定方式(如数据收集工具)指示,否则学习助教不会向家长报告孩子在学校的表现。与学生家长的沟通必须始终以专业的方式进行,并通过学校发布的技术/电子邮件进行。所有与学生家长的沟通都应告知班主任老师。在班主任、学校员工和家长之间进行充当或传达信息者时,学习助教可以将学生的表现传达给家长。

五、Professional Development职业发展

• Attend professional development opportunities provided by the school.参加学校提供的职业培训机会。

• Attend workshops/meetings coordinators, student support teams or teachers as required.需要时,参加小学部协调员或者其他协调员组织的培训/会议。

• Seek out additional individual professional development as needed and work with direct supervisor to arrange as able based on funding.根据需要寻求额外的个人职业发展,并与直接领导合作,根据经费情况进行安排。

六、Collaboration 相互协作

• Collaborate with the homeroom teacher, student support team members, and members of the grade level team.与所分配的老师及该年级组成员协同合作。

• Collaborate with other members of the PYP and school community, when required. This may include, but is not limited to members of the EAL Faculty, PYP Grade Level & Subject Area Teams,Librarians, School Counsellor, Literacy Support Mentor, IT Team, parents and students.如有需要,与小学部及学校的其他成员协同合作。这可能包括(但不限于)EAL 老师、小学年级组和学科组、图书管理员、咨询老师、语言导师、IT 团队、家长和学生。

七、Implementation of Student Specific Interventions to Reach Set Goals实施针对学生的干预措施以达到既定目标

• Implements interventions and strategies to support the individual student's established goals as on an individual basis or within a group based on the Individual Learning Plan.根据学生的个人学习计划,实施干预措施和策略,以支持个别学生的既定目标,以个人为基础或在小组内进行。

• Initiates and assists with the preparation of specialized teaching aids and materials in collaboration with the student’s homeroom teacher, and/or Student Support Team.与学生的班主任老师和/或学生支持小组合作,发起并协助准备专门的教具和材料。

• After appropriate training, carries out the recommendations provided by consultants (e.g.,occupational therapist, physiotherapist, speech/language pathologist).经过适当的训练后,实施由咨询老师(如:职业治疗师、物理治疗师、言语/语言病理学家)提供的建议。

• After appropriate training, uses appropriate reinforcement strategies such as prompting, modelling, and shaping.经过适当的训练后,运用恰当的强化策略,如激励、模范、塑造。

• Provides modelling and guidance to other staff members when implementing interventions that support the individual student’s needs.在实施支持个别学生需求的干预措施时,为其他工作人员提供示范和指导。

Learning Assistant is expected to participate in school events such as Parent TeacherConferences, Winter Concert, Cultural Fair, Arts Night, etc. 学习助教须参加学校组织的活动,如家长会,冬季音乐会,文化节,艺术节等。
