Key
Responsibilities:

• Produce quarterly estimates of demand across different applications
& recycling

• Contribute insights
to support internal supply-side modelling where relevant

• Maintain and develop
models, datasets and qualitative market insights

• Build relationships
with market stakeholders

• Attend key meetings
with strategic clients

• Provide regional
insights and market updates internally and to external clients

• Collaborate with
internal analysts in different regions, covering various precious metals
segments, to ensure consistency and completeness across data series

• Contribute to Metals
Focus publications and consulting projects by contributing text, preparing
charts and tables

• Represent the
company at conferences, client visits, and industry events across China and

potentially other East Asian markets to be determined

• Keep CRM contact data up to date, and
document market insights from meetings as part of the internal research process

• Support ad hoc projects and requests
led by the Director of Gold & Silver, including project coordination or
client-facing work where relevant to the analyst’s regional expertise

• Handle all shared data and insights
confidentially, ensuring contributors’ identities and interests are protected

• Review & check translated reports
and material

Qualifications
& Skills:

• Strong preference for degrees in Engineering, Chemistry, Material
Science or a related discipline; however, candidates without such a background
who have relevant experience will be considered

• 4+ years' experience
in industrial applications of metals/materials, metals recycling, or
commodities or mining research

• Chinese speaker who
is fluent in English Strong written and verbal communicator; confident
presenting to diverse stakeholders, including: o
Industrial
consumers of precious metals

o Refiners and recyclers

o Gold miners, including small and mid-scale producers

o Jewellers

o Financial institutions

o Industry associations

• Proven ability to manage and deliver
reports and data outputs to strict deadlines

• Strong analytical skills with
attention to assumptions, data integrity, and inconsistencies

• Self-motivated and effective in both
independent and collaborative, remote team environments

• High personal integrity; handles
confidential insights with discretion and professionalism

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word,
and PowerPoint

• Willing to travel regularly across
China, with occasional trips to East Asia and the London HQ

Desired Skills
and Experience:

• Japanese and/or Korean language skills are highly desirable

•
Experience reaching out to senior industry stakeholders to gather market
insights (e.g. through informal discussions or interviews), such as miners,
recyclers, or industrial experts

•
Prior experience engaging with industrial demand working within the precious
metals or broader commodities sector

•
Knowledge of precious metals market dynamics, particularly industrial demand
segments

• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign
or Illustrator is an asset
