Responsibilities:

o Develop and maintain high-quality code for our POS system together with vendors, including both native components and local customizations.

o Conduct design reviews, execute code reviews, troubleshoot with vendors, and ensure code aligns with global standards.

o Master and articulate the architecture on both core platform and local extensions

and synchronize with global team on roadmap updates and architectural evolutions.

o Support diagnostics, issue identification, and root cause analysis together with local vendors.

o Coordinate technical collaboration among engineering teams across North America, India, and China, aligning solutions and streamlining code contributions.

o Collaborate across functional teams (pm, architecture, security, QA, DevOps, etc.) to ensure smooth execution across the full SDLC.

o Continuous elevation of the collaborative model by enhancing code contribution schemes and optimizing workflows, ensuring a better delivery process.

Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree or above, major in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.

o 5+ years of software development experience as backend engineer, previous working experience in retail or e-commerce industry is preferred.

o Proficient in English (both verbal and written), good communicator in a global environment.

o Proficient in Java and Spring Framework, familiar with multi-threading, high concurrency, IoC, AOP, etc.

o Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, with ability to model complex business logic into clean, maintainable modules.

o Familiar with distributed system, understanding of architectures including microservice, SOA, C/S, B/S.

o Experience in build cloud native application, familiar with AWS or other cloud platform.

o Previous experience in developing POS system, e.g. Oracle Retail Xstore, is a big plus.

o Experience leading or participating in technical handover or transition projects is a big plus.
