Hardware reliability engineering team is looking for a talented reliability engineer
for Reliability Lab. This lab is home of state-of-the-art test equipment for
evaluating the performance of new products and provides a training ground for engineers and operators in China – the focus of this team is to ensure that our products exceed our customer’s expectations for robustness, durability, and reliability. You will support building the lab’s testing capabilities and focusing on the small details to make day-to-day activities running smoothly. Your success will allow us to identify and correct design issues quickly.

Day-to-day responsibilities
• Calibrating and maintaining the reliability equipment and facilities
• Supporting failure analysis investigations
• Present test plans, results to business team
• Develop new reliability tests procedures and specifications
• Research new technologies to understand unique/new designs
• Collaborating with CM& engineers to conduct reliability tests
• Prepare concise and detailed test plans and analyze test results
• Supporting lab logistics including proactively manage project schedules, resources, and constraints, clearly communicating status and risks.
• Partner with System Reliability Engineers to define priorities and ensure CM alignment.
• Collaborating with CM& our engineers to conduct reliability tests

Candidate will need command of these areas to help
• Performing environmental and mechanical stress tests including shock, drop, and vibration.
• Failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, x-ray or CT scans, scanning electron microscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry.
• Fundamental failure analysis methodology to derive a root cause of failure.
• Knowledge of industry test standards from JEDEC, ASTM, and IEEE.
• Application of Design of Experiments and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
• Electrical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or Physical Sciences.
• Data coding / analysis skill like Python, R, Tableau etc.

Education and Experience
• BS, MS. or PhD Engineering degree
• 4+ years of experience in a related field or industry
