The buyer takes responsibility for sourcing and management of raw materials and goods for vehicle production. The position holder is expected to source the required components for various car projects and ensure the best material cost and timely delivery during mass production. Accomplish sourcing projects/activities according to time schedule and reach defined commercial targets.
Key Tasks:
- Source and nominate qualified supplier for responsible components, incl. support in RfQ preparation, collect quotation, define supplier strategy, negotiate with suppliers, create/present decision proposal in decision committee.
- Prepare, implement and update contractual documents. Implement purchasing role in change management after SOP. Coordinate and solve supplier’s delivery/goods quality/capacity problem to ensure series production. Conduct cost analysis, global sourcing and benchmark for continues cost optimization.
- Spare parts ordering for production components and accessories.
- Define and implement sourcing & supplier strategy of responsible material group / parts.
- Scouting, develop and qualify suppliers to build up and improve supplier system, conduct continues supplier (relationship) management.
- Coordinate and lead Commitment meetings of BM/BC non-heavy items to check the timeline, evaluate the plausibility, find out the potential improvement and implementation with suppliers and fix a timeline and milestone readiness for products.
- Check the project schedule regularly and optimize of the project in different phases to ensure supplier production readiness according to the defined milestone. Coordinate with the QA, R&D, and Logistics for Quantity and Demands of BM/BC non-heavy OTS and EM parts. Implement milestone check visit and report the project status when necessary.

Qualification and skills required for the position:
- Bachelor degree or above in Business, Economics, Purchasing, Material, Engineering or Automotive Industry Related Areas.
- Working experience in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) is a plus.
