Brief Introduction of the position

This position performs electric/electronic materials testing in Volkswagen Anhui, it guarantees the full scale of analysis and issues release recommendation (first sample release and/or technical analysis) in accordance with Volkswagen Group Standards. By analyzing failure cases and collaboration in the development of corrective actions (failure resolution process – FAP), this position contributes to the prevention of customer claims.

Range of Responsibility

• Achieve the yearly goals defined for the position
• Ensure all electric/electronic materials evaluations in accordance with Volkswagen Standards. Ensure the correct realization of the corresponding material testing
• Follow the lessons learned process for electric/electronic materials in the project; assure the escalation process on time for any deviation
• Write the corresponding LIMS report after the evaluation, including a statement if the technical requirements in accordance to the drawing are fulfilled or not
• Continuous improvement of electric/electronic materials expertise
• Follow working plan to ensure the completion on time of all evaluations assigned to the position, including maintenance and calibration of relevant equipment

Key Tasks

• Test electric/electronic parts and interpret results in accordance with Volkswagen Group standards, to issue a release recommendation (first sample release and technical release BMG)
• Perform detailed failure analysis, define possible root causes and corrective measures to support the failure resolution process (FAP) in Volkswagen Anhui
• Develop, test and evaluate cost reduction ideas and new materials in accordance with the requirements of Chinese market
• Participate in proficiency testing according the requirements of Volkswagen Group to ensure technical competence
• Implement Volkswagen Group electric / electronic quality requirements in Volkswagen Anhui, including lessons learned
• Participate in all electric/electronic material trainings defined for the position and join the corresponding know how exchange networks within Volkswagen Group in China (VCIC)
• Perform serial monitoring for electric / electronic parts, in accordance to the requirements of Volkswagen Group
• Suggest investment needed for electric/electronic material testing
• Evaluate supplier laboratories and 3rd. party to ensure electric / electronic testing in accordance with Volkswagen Group standards
• Coordinate the calibration and maintenance of the testing equipment under its responsibility
• Fulfill the requirements regarding quality system, work safety and environmental protection

Qualification and skills

Education:

Master Degree in Engineering or other higher technical education in one of the following areas:

• Electric/Electronic Engineering

• Mechatronics Engineering

(Advanced Professional Training)

Specific Training:

In automotive technologies

Knowledge of Processes of the Automobile Industry

Knowledge of Quality Methods: VDA, FMEA, QPN, 8D, ...

Languages:

English, German (optional)

Working experience:

Minimum of 3 years Automobile Manufacturing work in the areas of Production, Quality or Research & Development. Fluent English is required for this position, German language is also desired. Strong experience in electric/electronic parts testing is preferred. Work experience in electric vehicles is desired.
