【Job Description】
Key responsibilities including (but not limited to):
Sourcing Strategy Development
Source and continuously assess new and existing suppliers’ capacity and capability to meet business requirements and develop supply strategy for assigned category.
Lead new sourcing projects and coordinate new product development / existing product modification with relevant departments. Keep track of all the critical milestones and key release dates.
Work with supply chain team on negotiating inventories, lead time, capacity, MOQ, and production schedules with suppliers.
Facilitate quotations amongst vendors, conduct cost comparison and additional supporting documentation to provide a comprehensive analysis on supplier selection.
Cost Management
Manage RFQ process for new products, analysis quotes and cost breakdowns. Ensure cost model development for the assigned commodity, based on the deep understanding of the product manufacturing process, major cost drivers and the market situation.
Be sensitive to potential cost reduction opportunities and negotiate prices on a regular basis to achieve company’s cost saving target. Supplier Management Maintain existing supplier information, including contact list, company profile, prices database, etc.
Build and manage a diverse vendor pool to fulfil current and future business needs for responsible categories.
Evaluate the performance of suppliers by analyzing KPIs and get alignment with cross-functional team to initiate cost reduction and service improvement. Develops and maintains positive relationships with both existing and new suppliers.
Supply Market Analysis
Conduct supply market research as required, facilitate regular (monthly/quarterly) industry intelligence collection and summary to share with relevant teams.
Aware of latest developments and technology impacting on the products and services being purchased.
All related supply risk is identified, highlighted and mitigation plan is in place.
【Qualifications Required】
Bachelor degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related.
3-5 years relevant working experience in Trading Company / Buying Office / Sourcing Agency.
Strong self-learning skills, highly motivated, self-driven, result oriented, being patient and detailed.
Good communication and negotiation skills in working with suppliers on product development and price.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills with good sense of urgency.
Knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement work processes, to create results of significant cost saving.
Experience in supplier evaluation / selection, and supply base management for continuous performance improvement.
Experience and knowledge on home-related products, furniture or sanitary ware industry is preferred.
Proficiency in both oral and written English.
Business travel is required.
