Position Summary:
The Project Commodity
Manager consults with the global PROJECT Commodity Manager (s) or Regional
Commodity Managers for recommended suppliers, negotiates purchase price and
value, translates engineering requisitions into purchase orders and assists in
tracking and expediting orders to meet customer requirements. This position is an integral part of the
Supply Management team working closely with Engineering Program Managers,
Engineers, Global PROJECT Commodity Managers, Regional Commodity Managers and
Supplier Quality Engineers to maximize the effectiveness, compliance and
day-to-day management of suppliers that support PROJECT initiatives
Description (Please

• Pull through incremental PSL supplier saving
on current business when awarding PROJECT
• Drive KPI’s and develop necessary corrective
actions
• Support DFM with regional quality team
• Ensure adherence to awards to the HON PSL,
PPL
• Ensure PROJECT is right day 1, correct price,
commercial terms
• Maintains accurate and current purchase order
information
• Prepares Request for Quotations on 1Phase and
5Phase programs
• Negotiates best pricing and deliveries to
meet the cost and timing targets of the PROJECT program.
• Monitors and expedites as necessary purchase
orders in support of New Product Introduction programs.
• In collaboration with Regional Commodity
Managers, recommends suppliers for specific commodities or parts.
• Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues.
• Provide regular status updates to the
leaders.
• Work closely with and support PROJECT
engineering team by providing supplier feedback and assuring compliance of
order placement in a timely manner with the strategic supply base.
• May provide backup from time to time for any
of the Global PROJECT Commodity Managers.
• Keeps internal customers informed of supplier
delivery and business issues as known through day to day contact with strategic
suppliers.
• Assures and assists with timely and cost effective
delivery of purchased materials across International borders.
• Conducts purchase order negotiations.
• Visits suppliers as necessary and appropriate
within scope of job responsibilities.

Qualifications and
Skills (Education, Experience, Industry/Functional Knowledge, Computer,
Communication, Leadership, Behavior, etc.):
• Demonstrated manufacturing and/or engineering
background.
• Documented procurement experience with
electronic and mechanical components.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced
environment with minimal supervision.
• Successful track record of effective
communications within and across internal functional groups, various management
levels and suppliers in an international environment.
• Highly developed focus on the customer to
meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.
• Ability to maintain effective relationships
with internal customers and Honeywell suppliers.
• Able to read blueprints, interpret drawing
and specification requirements
• Demonstrated negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking
skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to the requirements
of the position.
• Highly developed computer skills with
experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
• Direct hands-on experience with Oracle
Purchasing and/or SAP
• University graduated in Business or
Engineering disciplines, over 3 years work experience in procurement-related
roles.

与区域商品经理合作,推荐特定商品或零件的供应商。
解决供应商的质量和交货问题。
•定期向领导提供状态更新。
与项目工程团队紧密合作,提供供应商反馈,确保订单及时符合战略供应基础。
•可随时为任何全球项目商品经理提供备份。
通过与战略供应商的日常联系,使内部客户了解供应商交货和业务问题。
确保并协助及时、经济有效地将采购的材料运送到国际边境。
•进行采购订单谈判。
在工作职责范围内拜访供应商。

具备制造和/或工程背景。
有电子和机械部件的采购经验。
能够在少监督的情况下在快节奏的环境中工作。
•在国际环境中与内部职能部门、不同管理层和供应商进行有效沟通的成功记录。
高度发展以客户为中心,以满足内部和外部客户的期望和要求。
优秀的口头和书面沟通能力。
能够与内部客户和霍尼韦尔供应商保持有效的关系。
