The position requires the performance the following tasks on a full-time basis: 
- Support project leader in maintaining and widening Chinese government 
contacts
- Arrange meetings and visits with Chinese stakeholders
- Represent project in Chinese standardization circles
- Prepare a regular newsletter to be published in English on the assigned website and to be distributed domestically and to abroad stakeholders
- Correspondence in Chinese
- Interpretation and translation support
- Independent research on standard- related topics in China
- Maintain and update the assigned website 
- Provide any operational /administrative support as required by the Project leader 
  
  For this position, the following requirements are expected:  
1. Academic degree in Engineering, Business, English or related topic  
2. At least 3 years working experience in/with Chinese central government  
institutions  
3. Excellent English skills (IELTS writing score of 7 or above, TOFEL writing score over 25 or equivalent level).  
4. Native Chinese language proficiency  
5. Diplomatic skills and good understanding of Chinese business protocol  
6. Previous experience in standardization related fields is a strong asset  
7. Independent and well organized  
8. Previous experience in working with foreign companies or government  
institutions is an advantage
