BD Manager (Aviation Techology & Consulting)
Location: Beijing, China

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BD Manager to join our team in Beijing, China, specialising in tech solutions and consulting fields with a strong focus on the aviation industry. The ideal candidate will need to have a proven track record in relationship-building, new market development and sales,with at least 5 years of experience in aviation technology, IT or consulting sectors. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential for this role. The BD Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities,building strong client relationships, and effectively communicating the value of our innovative solutions in specialised aviation and air transport businesses. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of industry networking, technological advancements and consulting innovations in the aviation sector while contributing to our company's continued success in China.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the civil aviation sector, focusing on tech solutions and consulting fields
2. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including airport authorities, airlines, and other industry partners.
4. Product Expertise: Gain in-depth knowledge of our various solutions,including but not limited to A-CDM, TAM, Aviation Data, Branding and Advertising, Public Relations, Event Management, Customer Experience, Service Benchmarking, Industry Analytics, and effectively communicate their value propositions to clients.
5. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Adjust sales strategiesaccordingly.
6. Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations with potential clients, ensuring favourable terms and successful deal closures.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with the project management, product development, and marketing teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
8. Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for senior management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Aviation background is highly desirable but not essential.
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of career experience with a strong preference for candidates who have worked within the civil aviation or related sectors.
3. Sales Expertise: Demonstrated success in developing and closing sales,with a deep understanding of the sales process and client relationship management.
4. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with technology solutions, with a preference for civil aviation technologies, and the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to clients.
5. Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Mandarin, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset to identify market trends and opportunities.
7. Client Engagement: Proven ability to present and articulate the value of complex solutions to clients with a customer-centric approach.
8. Travel: Willingness and ability to travel frequently to meet clients and attend industry events as needed.
Preferred Skills:
1. Knowledge of civil aviation industry standards and regulations.
2. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
