Purchasing valve components for local market ( cryogenic valves for Chinese customer )
Coordinate purchasing under the coordination of Dario of valve components to be delivered out of China. Mostly Italy , but also Abu Dhabi , Saudi , etc…

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following characteristics:

1. Core Personal Qualities (Critical)

· Very high level of seriousness and trustworthiness
This is the most critical requirement. The role involves supplier selection, pricing, delivery commitments, and coordination across countries. Absolute integrity, discretion, and reliability are essential.

· Strong sense of responsibility
Fully accountable for purchasing decisions, supplier coordination, and delivery outcomes.

· Professional maturity
Able to operate autonomously while respecting reporting lines and coordination


2. Technical & Industrial Competence

· Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, including:

o Forging

o Casting

o Machining

o Welding

o Heat treatment and surface finishing (preferred)

· Understanding of valve components, especially for cryogenic and industrial valve applications.

· Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

· Awareness of quality requirements for international customers and regulated markets.


3. Purchasing & Supply Chain Skills

· Experience in industrial purchasing, preferably in valve, mechanical, or heavy-industry components.

· Supplier coordination capability, including:

o Local sourcing for the Chinese market

o Coordination of purchases for components delivered outside China (Italy, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, etc.)

· Cost, lead-time, and quality balance mindset.

· Basic contract and Incoterms awareness (pricing conditions, delivery terms, responsibilities).


4. Communication & Language Skills

· Good spoken and written English (mandatory) for:

o Coordination with international stakeholders

o Technical and commercial communication

· Clear and structured communication style, especially when dealing with suppliers and internal teams.


5. Organizational & Operational Skills

· Strong coordination ability
Works under central purchasing coordination while managing day-to-day supplier interactions.

· Attention to detail
Ensures specifications, quantities, and delivery destinations are correct.

· Problem-solving attitude
Able to handle supplier delays, quality issues, or last-minute changes.

· Time and priority management in a multi-country, multi-order environment.


6. Cultural & Contextual Fit

· Comfortable working in an international environment, especially between China, Europe, and the Middle East.

· Respect for hierarchy and coordination, while remaining proactive and solution-oriented.

· Long-term mindset, suitable for building stable supplier relationships rather than short-term transactions.
