Overview of the Role
A Plastic Tooling Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining tools, dies, molds, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and effective communication skills to ensure production efficiency and product quality. After the mold qualification process, the molds will be transferred to group European sites for mass production.
Key Responsibilities
•Projects follow up (all injection molding molds and parts issues)
•DFM capability with designer and supplier
•Proper molding tooling specification definition to balance quality and cost
•Tooling design & review
•Molding process qualification
•Supplier management for tooling development and part injection within planned cost and time
•Mold inspection in suppliers
•Attend trials done in suppliers,
•Searching new mold shops for cost/quality improvements,
•Support group European sites for communication with suppliers
Qualifications and Skills
•For Education level of bachelor’s degree in engineering
•Tooling & Molding Knowledge for Polymer Material
•5 years' working experience as plastic tooling engineer
•Good coordination skills
•Team player
•Proactive mindset and challenging spirit
岗位职责:
1.对接集团海外工厂,跟踪注塑模具及零件相关问题的项目进展,负责国内模具供应商的开发、评估、审核与管理,确保其具备稳定的模具制造与交付能力。
2.协调产品设计、工艺工程与模具供应商之间的技术对接,确保模具开发满足项目要求。合理定义注塑模具规范,以在质量与成本之间取得平。
3.跟踪模具开发进度,组织模具试模(T0/T1/T2),推动问题解决并确保模具按时交付。
4.管理模具质量、成本和交期,对供应商模具品质异常进行分析与整改跟踪。
5.参与模具报价、技术协议及供应商模具成本分析与谈判,参与模具检验、试模及注塑工艺验证。
6.推动模具供应商的持续改进,包括工艺优化、质量提升与交付效率提升。
任职资格:
1.本科及以上学历,机械工程、材料成型、模具设计或相关专业。
2.5年以上模具设计、制造或模具项目管理经验,熟悉注塑模具, 具备与设计师及供应商共同进行DFM分析的能力。
3.熟悉模具制造流程、模具结构及相关加工工艺,了解模具成本构成。
4.具备较强的项目管理能力、沟通协调能力与供应商管理能力。
5.熟练使用CAD、UG、Pro/E等模具设计软件及基本办公软件。
6.良好的英语听说读写能力。
7.具备团队合作精神,能够承受工作压力。
