We are looking for a highly motivated individual based in Shanghai to join as an Equity Research Associate.
The Equity Research Associate will join the biotechnology research team and will work directly with Senior Research analysts.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze individual biotech companies and market trends, composing company-specific and thematic research reports
• Attend industry events and conferences, prepare notes and summaries
• Interview physicians and Key Opinion Leaders across various disease areas
• Conduct deep scientific and clinical due diligence
• Conduct scientific literature reviews
• Interact with the client’s institutional sales force, traders, and investment clients

Educational Qualifications:
• An exceptional academic pedigree, including a graduate degree in life-sciences (a Ph.D. and/or M.D. is highly preferred).
• Candidates should have clear demonstration of outstanding academic achievement.
• Demonstrated interest in coursework related to economics/business/finance is also preferred.
Other Qualifications:
• Fluent in written and spoken English. Can use English as working language and comfortable to work together with English speaking colleagues on daily basis.
• Capable to write research report in English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding analytical skills. Ability to research, analyze, and draw conclusions from information.
• Proven ability and desire to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Strong work ethic and even stronger sense of integrity.
• Attention to detail, a curious and inquisitive mind, and a desire to learn about the biotechnology industry
