Key Responsibilities

主要职责

1. Shop Drawings & Design Inspection 1. 施工图与设计检查

• Plan Reviews for Technical Accuracy: Critically examine current product fire sprinkler designs, hydraulic calculations, piping schematics, and component specifications (e.g., heads, valves) prior to installation to ensure compliance with relevant US/Canadian fire and building codes (e.g., NFPA 13, NFPA 13R) and best practices.

• Process Mapping: Review and revise the current workflow for modular fire sprinkler installation, inspection, and system testing.

• Suggest improvements or efficiencies where necessary, focusing on pipe routing, hanger installation, and testing consistency.

• Techniques & Equipment: Evaluate existing tools, testing equipment (e.g., hydrostatic pumps), and worker techniques in use for pipe fitting, welding/joining, threading, and system flushing.

• Recommend specific upgrades, additions, training, or modifications to improve process efficiency and consistency.

• Training and Mentorship: Lead hands-on and classroom training sessions for the sprinkler teams on code requirements, best practice installation techniques for materials like steel and CPVC, system testing protocols, and quality standards.

3. Quality Assurance & Standards Development 3. 质量保证与标准制定

• Quality Control (QC) Program: Review and enhance the current QC Inspection and Testing Plans, project quality criteria, and fire sprinkler quality control documentation processes.

• This must include hydrostatic pressure testing, flushing procedures, and final system sign-offs prior to wall closing.

• Defect Root Cause Analysis: Identify and troubleshoot common system defects such as pipe leaks, incorrect component placement (e.g., sprinkler head distance/coverage), or valve issues, and develop preventative measures or appropriate repair/rework procedures.

• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop clear, visual, and concise SOPs for all critical steps in fire sprinkler installation, testing, and quality control where these SOPs don’t already exist in the company system.

Qualifications

资格要求

• Nationality/Residency: Chinese.
  
• 国籍/居住地： 中国籍。
  
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial or residential fire sprinkler systems, with a focus on new construction or industrial facility systems management.
  
• 经验： 至少 3 年商业或住宅消防喷淋系统的实践经验，重点是新建或工业设施系统管理。
  
• Technical Expertise:
  
  • Deep knowledge of governing US/Canadian fire codes (e.g., NFPA 13, NFPA 13R) and their implementation during factory installation and pre-site readiness.

  • Experience or qualification with NFPA, FM Global, or ISO fire safety codes and standards will be strongly considered.

• Modular/Factory Experience (Preferred): Experience working on modular, prefabricated, or production-line construction projects is a significant asset.

• Training & Communication: Proven ability to effectively train, mentor, and communicate technical information to diverse multi-lingual teams.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to be on a factory floor for extended periods, including climbing stairs/ladders and withstanding production-line environments as required.

Compensation and Logistics

• Contract Duration: 1 year.
