Responsibilities:
Reporting to Global Sales leader, the Account Manager will be responsible for selling ICT-related solutions to the end-user group (Tech-buyer), with key industries including manufacturing, finance, energy, public, healthcare, and retail. The role requires a proven acumen for selling a wide portfolio of technology research, business consulting, marketing tracking data (Tracker), marketing services and event sponsorships, to senior level functions within these accounts.
- Sales bookings achievement in line with monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Business development and solution-based selling within the defined territory across IDC's products and services.
- Account Management of existing and new clients within the territory.
- Current and accurate sales CRM database updating in Salesforce
- Develop pre-proposals & contracts based on client requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that the customers' needs are understood within IDC through the development of working relationships with clients and prospects.
- Plan and execution of a sales strategy to develop relationships and build account plans to identify and drive new business opportunities.
- Achieve goals with positive collaboration with all IDC business units comprising Research, Data, Consulting, and Content Marketing Services.
- Mainly responsible for business in South China and part of East China.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. MBA is a plus.
- At least 5-10 years of Fortune Global 500 foreign-funded or joint-venture enterprises with proven consultative sales, along with strong written, analytical, verbal communication, time management and organizational skills. It would be even better if the candidate has work experience at companies such as IBM, Oracle, and HPQ.
- Demonstrate success working independently to sell complex goods and services to ICT products/solutions to central state-owned enterprise groups or large-scale enterprises, and manufacturing, finance, energy, Public, healthcare, and retail industries.
- The ability to build relationships at C-level and senior level within a company and the ability to set a sales strategy to develop new business as well as incremental sales with existing clients.
- Prior market research industry, or technical, sales experience is a plus.
- Be able to communicate in English to manage multi-national communication internally and externally.
- Ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, collaborative, and a self-starter.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
