1. Supervises and provides design direction to subordinates and report drafting and design progress to Lead Electrical Engineer.
2. Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews team’s work (i.e. drafters).
3. Based on the inputs from electrical engineer, other discipline to perform electrical design work and ensure the quality of drafting as per the quality procedure.
4. Produce and review electrical drawings and layouts i.e. Single line diagrams, Schematic Drawings, Termination, Equipment layouts, Grounding layouts, Tray Layouts, Lighting layouts, Typical installation drawings, etc. and MTO preparation.
5. Perform design clash check. Participate in design model review.
6. Prepares team estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly. Estimates staffing needs and schedules and assigns work to meet schedule dates.
7. Liaise with other disciplines on technical issues.
8. Participate in and fosters a work environment based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
9. Responsible for completing other tasks assigned by the engineering supervisor or manager.
