Your role as Senior Equipment & Process Engineer in GN
As a Senior Equipment & Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in GN’s Global Manufacturing System — from product development through market introduction to end-of-life. You will lead equipment and process standardization, material qualification, and technology deployment across GN’s global production sites.
As a senior equipment and process engineer you will be working in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, from Program Management, R&D functional teams, global manufacturing Quality, Global Operations and global partners. Being in this role, it is also expected and required to work closely with supplier for good coordination to fulfill global manufacturing reasonable request on equipment and material
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Evaluate and align current Global Procedures for Custom Product Manufacturing to ensure consistent outcomes across all production sites, focus on 3D printing, 3D scanning and UV curing process
- Serve as one of the key global contacts for the development and implementation of new processes and manufacturing tools within 3D manufacturing specially Scanners, 3D printers, curing machines.
Process and Technology Development
- Establish and maintain standardized manufacturing processes (focus Scanner, 3D printing, UV curing) for custom products globally
- Lead process standardization and documentation efforts for 3D manufacturing across all relevant GN sites.
- Define and maintain procedures related to 3D printing technologies, including materials and printer platform configurations.
- Support validation and verification of new 3D printing platforms and transition from legacy materials to cost-optimized alternatives.
- Support validation and verification of UV curing equipment and 3D scanner
Global Coordination & Best Practices
- Ensure best practice guidelines are implemented and followed across sites to enable localized ownership of global processes.
- Work with cross-site teams to coordinate input and feedback to support global process improvements.
- Ensure all global standards meet relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485) and internal compliance expectations.
Material specially the resin but also glue and UV- material (Lacquer).
- Design and execute training and implementation plans to support global deployment of new processes and products.
- Review ROC KPI data and ensure performance improvement through alignment, analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Support NPD/NPI by developing or adapting processes to enable smooth product launches.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar); Master’s preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience in global manufacturing, ideally in the medical device or regulated industry.
- Hands-on knowledge of 3D printing, materials, and equipment in production environments.
- Proven ability to drive global standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working across international sites and matrix organizations.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; other languages a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally (20-30 days)
