About the role

We are looking for a Completions Engineer to join the west African Mine Team. As part of the Owner’s Team, you are accountable for the management of completions and handover for your area from Construction to Commissioning and Operations. The role reports to the Area Completions Lead.

Key accountabilities of the role for your area include:

· Support the Completions Lead in the development and review of the completions procedures, processes and systems.

· Inspect and validate that the constructed installation and associated construction documentation adhere to the project quality, standards and requirements, and is complete for system handover.

· Manage and track punchlists, system walkdowns, and handover documentation, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items to deliver systems to the Commissioning team and handover to the Operations team.

· Liaise with construction contractors, commissioning and operations teams to facilitate a smooth and efficient handover processes.

· Proactively identify and address issues or discrepancies in the construction phase that could impact system completion.

· Provide regular updates and reports on construction completion status, highlighting any critical issues or delays.

What you’ll bring

· Demonstrable commitment to safety, providing leadership within the project safety culture

· Strong experience in the engineering and construction of mega projects in the mining industry. Previous completions experience sought. Experience in adjacent industries will be considered.

· Experience delivering mining projects in Africa, particularly West Africa, and / or China will be highly regarded

· Hands on experience in managing a completion database, driving ITR (check sheet) completion and punch list management.

· Good communication and collaboration skills in English and Chinese language skills will be highly regarded and valuable.

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering, or a closely related field. Minimum 3-4 years of experience in relevant field.
