岗位职责:

Impact on the Business/Function
1.The provision of timely and reliable regulatory advice and assist CMB to effectively manage regulatory compliance risk.
2.Management of multiple enquiries from different departments at any one time, under considerable deadline pressure.
3.Provision of long term regulatory view to CMB ensuring the regulatory requirements are factored in their business strategies. The role holder will be privy to various business initiatives (current & future) and therefore may be exposed to complex information. It is expected that the role holder would exhibit sound judgment in protecting it and must adhere to all relevant rules and regulations.

Customers / Stakeholders
1.Manage a diverse set of stakeholders in order to achieve the overreaching objectives, including.
2.Senior management of HASE, its branches and subsidiaries in HK.
CMB’s control office, products, transformation staff.
3.Global/regional and country Compliance teams.
4.Ensure regional engagement of CMB Compliance staff to meet customer needs and develop a good network.

Leadership & Teamwork
1.Work effectively as part of a dynamic team taking on unfamiliar/difficult tasks when necessary and provide guidance and support.
2.Taking the lead when necessary to ensure the level of service expectations are maintained and ideally exceeded.
3.Provide training and share knowledge with new/junior staff.
4.Provide clear guidance on Compliance based enquiries.

1.The role holder will be privy to various business initiatives (current & future) and therefore may be exposed to complex information. It is expected that the role holder would exhibit sound judgment in protecting it and must adhere to all relevant rules and regulations.
2.The jobholder must exercise considerable autonomy in dealing with live major issues for which there is often no clear cut solution. Regulatory interpretation and drawing up a requirement plan to the CMB must be clear, concise and consistent. Where matters of profound reputational risk are identified, the jobholder must alert senior management, if necessary by seeking guidance from HASE Chief Compliance & Risk Officer. The nature of the role requires close routine liaison with HASE Compliance staff, senior Regional business heads and with external, so necessitating excellent professional relationships across internal and external agencies.

1.Significant leadership experience and a strategic thinker.
2.Experience working with Compliance related matters.
3.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
4.Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with experience of dealing with executives at all levels including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management and policy in the language of business.
5.Ability to develop practical, cost effective solutions to complex issues.
6.Experience of dealing with regulatory matters and confident interaction with Regulators.
7.Experience of leading and motivating a group of individuals.
8.Experience of interpreting and analyzing a large volume of information and provide succinct summary for management.
9.Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines.
10.Experience of working within a matrixed environment preferred including reporting internationally.
11.Ability to lead change regionally in the ASP, contributing to joining up with the other teams in Risk and Business globally.
12.(Desirable) Project/Programme Management experience.
13.(Desirable) working knowledge of Commercial Banking.
