Westlake conducts primary research on global semiconductor & hardware companies with insights from Asia’s supply chain ecosystem, serving top hedge and mutual funds. Our primary research uncovers industry dynamics and reaches investment conclusions (long or short ideas), based on our survey data, carefully selected third-party data, and interviews with industry experts.
We are seeking to fill a Technology Research Specialist/Analyst part-time position, leading to a full-time position in the future.
Ideal applicants will have:
· Bilingual – fluent in both English and Chinese
· Professional communication skills (both written and verbal, in English and Mandarin)
· Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
· Self-motivated candidates who are able and willing to shoulder a wide range of tasks/responsibilities.
· Upcoming or recent college or graduate school graduates, majoring in finance, economics and financial engineering (we won't respond to applicants with other majors); some knowledge of and interest in stock market and stock picking (not required but could be a plus)
· Or experienced research analysts, with experience and knowledge in semiconductor & hardware
