About the Role
The eBay Shipping team is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Product Operations Analyst to ensure a seamless and reliable shipping experience for millions of buyers and sellers worldwide. This role is at the intersection of logistics, technology, and marketplace operations, and part of eBay’s shipping product management organization.
Shipping is one of the most complex and high-impact areas of eCommerce, and eBay relies on tracking data from global carriers to power estimated delivery dates, notify buyers of their shipments, dispute resolutions, fraud prevention, and seller performance metrics. You will play a key role in monitoring eBay shipping data, identifying issues, and working across teams to drive continuous improvements.

What You’ll Do
Monitor and analyze shipping performance – Identify trends, disruptions, and opportunities in package tracking and delivery estimates.Solve operational challenges at scale – Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, customer support, risk, and external partners to resolve shipping data issues.Collaborate with external partners – Engage directly with carriers and tracking aggregators to diagnose and fix integration problems.Optimize and automate processes – Identify inefficiencies in workflows and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and data quality.Drive insights with data – Use SQL and analytical tools to investigate patterns and root causes of shipping defects, improving buyer and seller experiences.Support carrier integrations – Ensure smooth onboarding of new carrier partners, validating tracking accuracy and reliability.

SQL proficiency – Ability to query and analyze data effectively.Familiarity with APIs & logistics – Experience with shipping carriers, tracking aggregators, or supply chain operations.Technical skills (bonus) – Python, R, or JavaScript for data analysis.
