What this job involves

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated APAC Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our Facilities Management (FM) team. This role will support a prestigious global account, a Fortune 500 company, by overseeing and enhancing the EHS performance across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of EHS principles and practices, along with excellent leadership skills to drive a culture of safety and compliance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish a robust framework for monitoring all EHS incidents within the APAC region, ensuring timely identification and response.
  • Maintain the TRIR within predetermined limits to achieve EHS KPIs.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt documentation of all EHS-related incidents in both JLL's and the client's EHS systems.
  • Lead thorough investigations into incidents following JLL's policies and procedures, and close all required follow-up actions by the established deadlines.
  • Conduct routine audits across sites to verify adherence to applicable EHS legislation, standards, and regulations.
  • Oversee the completion of all assigned EHS-related CAPAs on or before it’s completion date.
  • Develop and execute an annual EHS training schedule, and conduct the training accordingly.
  • Serve as the POC for all EHS initiatives originating from both JLL and the client within the region.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by sharing EHS best practices and lessons learned with the team in the region.
  • Regularly review and update EHS SOPs and ERPs to maintain their relevance and effectiveness.
  • Assume responsibility for all Special Equipment registered under JLL, fulfilling all associated legal obligations.
  • Supervise and mentor site-level EHS engineers to ensure they perform their duties effectively.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A university degree in an EHS-related field.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese to facilitate clear communication across the region.
  • Demonstrated experience in Facilities Management (FM) operations, specifically in EHS management.
  • Behavioral competencies: Must be patient, resilient, customer-oriented, and detail-oriented.

The APAC EHS Manager will play a critical role in shaping the safety culture and ensuring operational excellence across the region. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
