Job Responsibility
Internal Audit
-Perform IT-related, Sarbanes-Oxley and operational audits in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Professional Practices Framework
-Test IT internal controls and assess the adequacy of the execution of associated key controls, systems and processes
-Perform transaction and compliance testing to evaluate the existence, efficiency and effectiveness of internal control procedures and adequacy of control documentation
-Ensure effective engagement coordination with auditees and other staff
-Conduct oral and written presentations to management during and at conclusion of audits, discussing deficiencies, corrective action and improvements in internal controls. Ensure that information is presented clearly, concisely, accurately, in a logical format and in accordance with standards
-Interview personnel in areas under audit to gain understanding of how processes and the system of internal controls operate as well as prepare audit workpapers detailing each work step assigned
-Assist in and perform special projects as assigned; compile and prepare special reports and presentations as required by IA Management
-Maintain updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the fields of internal audit, IT technology and related matters of interest to the department

Others
-Perform other duties as required.
-Reasonably judge, identify, and properly handle all the personal information involved in work, and to learn and master the relevant policies and procedures for Magna's data privacy and personal information
Qualifications
Knowledge and Education
-Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
-Desire to pursue certifications like CISA, CISM, or CISSP.

Work Experience
-Minimum 1-3 years of IT related internal or external audit, or IT operation experience
-Technical IT or development experience is considered an asset
-IT audit experience in a large public accounting firm or a corporate internal audit team is considered a plus
-Must fully understand corporate policies and procedures and furthermore abide by and practice Magna IA & IIA standards, guidelines, practices, and terminology

Skills and Competencies
Job Role Competence
-Understanding of IT audit standards and frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ISO/IEC, NIST) and data security and privacy regulations (e.g. PCI, CPNI, CCPA, HIPAA)
-Adept at assessing complex IT and business process environments to identify potential IT, financial, operational and compliance risks
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office products.
-Familiarity with the knowledge and IT General Controls across operating systems (Windows, Unix/Linux), databases (MS SQL, Oracle), and network security devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and Cloud Computing. Familiarity with ERP Systems (e.g. SAP) and automated audit tools are considered an asset
