About The Job
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician who will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. In this position, you will be expected to identify electrical problems, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all work is done in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components, including wiring, fixtures, and appliances.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to determine wiring layouts and installation procedures.
Test electrical systems and components for functionality, safety, and compliance with regulations.
Troubleshoot electrical system and equipment, Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
Replace or repair faulty electrical components, such as switches, interconnecting wires or bus bars, outlets, and circuit breakers.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards in all work activities.
Collaborate with other trades and contractors on projects to ensure proper coordination of electrical work.
Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records.
Provide technical support and guidance to other staff or apprentices.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and electrical hazards.
Communicate effectively with the team members to ensure timely completion of work.
Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent education; completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training in electrical work.
Journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience as an electrical technician or electrician, with knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, such as multimeter, wire strippers, and conduit benders.
Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, lifting, and climbing.
Attention to detail and accuracy in performing electrical work.
